How to post a shift

How to post a shift

Please follow the below steps to create a shift on the Locumate App.
  1. Login to your Pharmacy Profile: Access your account to begin creating a shift.

  2. Post a shift: To post shifts on the Locumate platform, click the ‘+’ icon in the menu.

  3. Select Shift Dates: On the next screen, you can choose the date range for your shifts.
    - For a single date, simply select the date required.
    - For
multiple dates, you can select the desired dates (e.g. Monday, Tuesday and Friday).

Click ‘NEXT’ on the top right corner once you have selected the dates required.

  4. Set Shift Hours: Select the opening and closing hours required for each shift. You can also deselect the dates, if needed.

Additionally, you will also have the option to restrict the shifts so that only one locum can accept all the listed shifts.

    Select NEXT to continue.

  5. Set Rates: On the next screen, set the pay rates, with the option to set different rates for weekdays and weekends.

Rates listed are excluding super. As you enter the rates, the superannuation component will be displayed.

    Select NEXT to proceed.

  6. Add Shift Details: Providing as much detailed information as possible about the pharmacy is essential to ensure the Locum has a clear and comprehensive understanding of the requirements for the shift before accepting.

    Include details such as:
    - Travel reimbursement
    - Flights/accommodation coverage
    - Solo pharmacist?
    - Number of Technicians
    - Open/Close
    - Dose Administration Aids

Select ‘Additional Shift Information’ to provide further details like:

    - Immuniser required?
    - Parking information
    - Language preference (if applicable)
    - Any additional notes.

    Please note:
Including additional notes can be a valuable way to communicate specific requirements for the shift. These may include details such as the start time of the next pharmacist or dispensary technician, travel and accommodation arrangements for longer shifts, or any other relevant information.

    Select NEXT

  7. Set Shift Visibility: Select ‘Open Marketplace’ to post the shift to the locums on the Locumate Platform.
You can decide when to release the shifts – either immediately by selecting ‘now’, or at a future time.

Select the appropriate boxes, then click ‘NEXT’ when done.

  8. Locum Acceptance Method: Decide how locums can accept shifts:
    - First come, first serve: Locums can instantly accept and be booked for the shift.
    - Apply when outside of a radius: Ideal for regional pharmacies, allowing negotiation with locums outside of a specific distance (e.g. 200km).

Please note, the ‘apply’ feature is not recommended for urgent shifts, as it may delay the filling process.

  9. Post the Shift: Click ‘POST’ to add the job to the Locumate App.

Once the shift has been posted, the platform will begin working to match the right talent to your pharmacy.
