The travel allowance feature

Pharmacies have the flexibility to set their own travel allowance according to their budget.

When creating a shift, you have three travel allowance options:

1.      No Travel Allowance: No travel allowance will be provided for this shift.

2.      Full Travel Allowance: The full travel cost for a round trip from the locum's location to the pharmacy and back will be covered. This is calculated at a rate of $0.99 per kilometer.

3.      Capped Travel Allowance: The pharmacy can set a maximum amount they are willing to pay for travel. The calculation will still be based on the distance between the locum's location and the pharmacy. For instance:

  1. If a pharmacy sets a maximum travel allowance of $50 and the locum is 15 km from the pharmacy (30 km round trip), the travel allowance would be $29.7 
  2. If the locum is 50 km away from the pharmacy (100 km round trip), the allowance would be capped at $50.00

This structure allows pharmacies to manage travel costs effectively while providing reasonable compensation for locum travel.
